Police search river

The activity, including a helicopter, over Patapsco Valley State Park on Sunday night and Monday was a search for a swimmer who was now presumed drowned since Sunday evening. The search ended at 2 p.m. Monday when his body was found above Bloede Dam. Read the full story on Catonsville Patch.

Rain in forecast

Monday was sunny, but Tuesday could bring some rain and even thundersorms to the Pikesville area, according to the National Weather Service forecast for Garrison and Pikesville.

The high Monday was about 79 degrees, with a low of 65 degrees.

On Tuesday, showers are likely before 11 a.m., with thunderstorms possible 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., it states. 

Then, showers are likely from 3-8 p.m., with showers and thunderstorms possible between 8 p.m. and 1 a.m.

$5 lunch, networking

The Pikesville Chamber of Commerce is holding its brown bag luncheon Tuesday. Cost is $5 for non-members, and free for members, according to an announcement by the chamber.

It's at noon at Augsburg Lutheran Home, 6811 Campfield Road, and the home will provide lunch and drinks, the announcement states.
