I am hearing about a group of gay folks who where ejected from the Hard Yacht Cafe in Dundalk. I am wondering if you could investigate this story and write pieace on it. Facebook rumors as not always true, but sometimes they are.

I have a serious question for you - no B.S. Were you stationed at the Dundalk Precinct from roughly 1974 - 1979?

If you looked and couldn't find any articles of mine in the East County Times, you obviously weren't looking very hard. eastcountytimesonline.com is where you want to go. Now I'm done for the weekend. I'll see your responses on Monday since I'm leaving the office.

Buzz, I don't feel the need to toot my own horn in public and all over the comments section of that particular article. But if you would like confirmation of my credentials as a writer, you might want to take a peek at the East County Times from January 2011 on.

Chris, I read the incident and there a whole lot of issues here.

First, most departments limit the use of deadly force to protect your own life, or that of another in eminent danger.

If I was investigating this I would look at the potential pertaining to the threat level. For example, how big was the dog? Did it appear aggressive? Did the dog actually threaten the family?

Already you have conflicting reports regarding the weapon being directed at the dog or held at the side.

I would also make sure I interviewed and took written statements from anyone involved.

Anytime you have a situation that could generate a public response like this, form my standpoint, I would make dam sure I covered all the bases.

I would have to look at the city's policy regarding the use of off duty weapons.

As for the city cop involved, he will have to articulate on why he felt the need to draw his weapon.

I would ask to see a copy of the report. If they refuse then file a FIA request. I just did one on a PUD in my district. They will respond to a freedom of information act.

I would surmise that in this case you have the question of the officers perception of assessing the danger to him and his family and others.

If the dog was, say a poodle, then any use of potential force of the magnitude of a gun would, in my opinion would be a stretch.

I hope this helps. If you have any more questions, just let me know.

Greetings Buzz,
My name is Chris Megert and I live in Perry Hall and have an interest in your opinion on the Annie's playground story. I haven't seen any comments from you and think you have experience in matters such as what happened there. Is that accurate?
Thank you,

Jason, I replied to your post. Jason, get past the personal issue.

Read my comments. I left two of them. I respect your right to your opinion.

If you believe in something that fight for it. I have nothing againt Obama. He is one of he greatest orators in the history of the game.

Yes, I take issue with his agenda and that is also part of the process.

I know the issue you are opposed to and I think that issue deals with immigration. How do you propose we deal with it?

Just the language issue alone is mind boggling. There are over 300 languages spoken in this country. Which ones do you exclude? As soon as you exclude any one of them you become what you say you are opposed to regarding my stand.

I stand for the rule of law. It is the binding fabric that holds this nation together.

I always ask people, how can we justify sending our troop overseas to fight, die and give their body parts to protect the sovereignty of foreign nations when our own border is unsecured.

This is a historical fact and recently echoed by the Prime Ministers of England an Germany. Multiculturalism has failed in both of those nations.

Don't fall into the trap of placing this issue into a racial one. If that would be the case then President Obama would be a racist regarding his views on Muslim Jihadest.

You see they too believe we are the evil ones and they are the good guys.

Who do you think propped up Murbark's government?

Buzz,

Just checked out your website, you seem to be a bit of a DINO. So sad that in our convoluted political system you need to run as a Democrat to have a chance. I think people would respect you more if you ran as a Republican or even a Libertarian. I'm a Democrat and I am diametrically opposed to almost everything you stand for. As I said before, I'm a photographer, not a writer, and I have an opinion. But as the old saying goes, opinions are like noses, everyone has one. I wish you luck in your political endeavors as I think you a person who has a genuine desire to help your community, and an idealism that I respect but do not agree with.
