Woman Hospitalized in Early Morning Blaze
An early morning fire in Reisterstown sent a woman in her 60s to the hospital Wednesday.
A woman was hospitalized for burns after an early morning fire at a home in Reisterstown Wednesday. Crews were called to 20 Blake Court at 1 a.m. and found heavy fire on the first and second floors of a single-family home. There was a female in her 60s on the second floor, who had suffered burns to 50 percent of her body. The woman, who was not identified by name, was taken to Northwest Hospital, according to a Baltimore County press release. The fire, which escalated to a second alarm, was placed under control at 2:23 a.m. by a total of about 15 fire companies and 60 personnel. The cause is under investigation, the release said.
