Rep. John Sarbanes hopes to receive 1,000 donations of less than $100.
Rep. John Sarbanes, who represents much of North Baltimore, as well as Pikesville through Reisterstown, is running an interesting experiment during this year’s election. Sarbanes is trying to see if primarily small donors can finance his campaign as part of his Grassroots Donors project, where he has raised $500,000 from traditional donations of more than $100, but can’t access it until he receives at least 1,000 donations between $5 and $100, according to Salon. Reisterstown Road Plaza hosts Santa and friends.
Santa Claus arrives at noon Nov. 25 at Reisterstown Road Plaza. Kids can get their photos with Santa through 3 p.m., and there will be games, face painting, a balloonist and holiday music by Magic 95.7. Rudolph and Frosty will also visit. Santa will be available for free photos from 1-3 p.m. Nov. 26 at The Plaza as well. And kids can come to The Plaza for Holiday Crafts from 1:30-3:30 Dec. 3, 10 and 17 in the food court. There will be Hanukkah crafts on Dec. 17.
