Help Temple Collect Items for Disaster-Stricken NY, NJ

Hurricane Sandy devastated parts of these states to our north, so a Pikesville temple is collecting items Monday and Tuesday to deliver to people in need.

Temple Oheb Shalom is collecting supplies to deliver to areas in New York and New Jersey, according to Caren Leven, congregation spokeswoman. Through Temple Oheb Shalom's Hurricane Sandy Community Drive, the congregation is collecting items from batteries to diapers and warm clothing, according to an announcement. Read the full list of items needed. The items are to be delivered before an anticipated winter storm this week possibly hits that same area damaged by Hurricane Sandy. To help with the donation, bring your items from 7-9 p.m. Tues. Nov. 5 and Wed. Nov. 6 to the temple, 7310 Park Heights Ave. For more information, visit the temple's Facebook page. Does your organization have a relief collection going on? Mention it in the comments…
