Police: Body Found in Pool at McDonogh Road

The Baltimore County Police Department is investigating it as a suspicious death.

The body of a male was found in a swimming pool in Owings Mills Sunday afternoon. The age of the victim is not available. At 2:15 p.m., police found the body in a pool in the 8100 block of McDonogh Road, according to a news release from the Baltimore County Police Department. "The victim was pronounced deceased at the scene," it states. His body was sent to the State Office of the Chief Medical Examiner. The department is investigating it as a suspicious death.

Police To Monitor McDonogh Road Traffic

Police plan to set up a speed trailer beginning Monday, between Painters Mill and Winands roads.

If you're not already in the habit, it's time to start following the speed limit on McDonogh Road. That's because, come Monday, there will be a speed trailer positioned there, and Radar enforcement later in the week, according to police. "After an educational period, we will begin aggressive radar enforcement later next week," said Lt. Michael DiCara, assistant commander for the Baltimore County Police Department's Pikesville precinct. The trailer will help show motorists about how fast they're going, said Capt. John McGann, the new commander assigned to the precinct on July 11. It will not be linked to ticketing as there is no speed camera inside, McGann added. Armed Men Rob 7-Eleven on McDonogh

Police: Clerk reports that two men wielded guns and demanded money, cigars, cigarettes and condoms.

Two men robbed the 7-Eleven at 8890 McDonogh Road in Owings Mills on Sunday after entering the store, wielding guns and forcing a clerk to lie on the floor. According to a Baltimore County police report, the men entered the store at about 1:30 a.m. and pointed semi-automatic handguns at a clerk. They ordered him to get on his hands and knees until they left. They then stole $160, 12 packs of Black & Mild cigars, five cartons of Newports and five to six packs of condoms. The robbers ran out of the store heading toward McDonogh Road, the report stated. Correction: The original version of this article listed the wrong community for this store. We regret the error.
