Combating Human Trafficking: A Team Approach

At the second annual Conference on Combatting Human Trafficking, the governor noted inter-agency cooperation was key to success.

New statewide outreach programs have helped more than 15 child victims of human trafficking in the past five months alone, according to the governor’s office. Last year, nearly 80 victims received services from the state. Elected Officials Say Possible Terror Attacks Justify Death Penalty

A state’s attorney, delegate and state senator announce a campaign to put the newly passed death penalty repeal in Maryland to referendum.

Using Oriole Park as a backdrop, three elected officials told reporters Friday the prospect of a terrorist attack at sporting events and other public gatherings justifies repealing a new state law ending the death penalty. Cash Stolen from Student's Desk at St. Timothy's

The following information was supplied by the Baltimore County Police Department's Pikesville Precinct. In cases where a criminal charge is noted, it does not indicate a conviction.

A student who boards at St. Timothy's School reported cash stolen from the desk drawer in her room. At 6 p.m. Feb. 15 she came into her room and noticed that the money was missing, and that the lock on the drawer had been unsecured, according to a Feb. 23 report by Baltimore County police. The high school is located at 8400 Greenspring Road in Stevenson.

Some Snowfall Expected Overnight

The National Weather Service, forecasts less than one-half inch of precipitation Thursday.

Early morning rain and snow could amount to about one-half inch of precipitation Thursday. Through 1 a.m., there's a possibility of both rain and snow, according to the National Weather Service forecast for Pikesville. But between 1 and 4 p.m., snow is expected, it states. The high Wednesday is expected to be 41 degrees, with a low of 30 degrees, the forecast states. On Thursday, the high could reach 47 degrees, with a low of 34 degrees. There could be more rain Friday night.
