Le Salon Debeaute Closes

A message on the store's Facebook page announces the news Tuesday.

A Pikesville salon has closed its doors for good. La Salon De Beaute was opened by stylist Yolanda Carr of Pikesville, who died in a tragic one-vehicle accident in the salon parking lot in March 2011. The salon has closed after five-and-a-half years in business, the business' Facebook page said. After Carr's death, her husband took over the business, and it was run by Carr's friend, Jenah Laramie of Reisterstown, a stylist at the salon. "Thanks for the support over the years," Laramie said. Customers can schedule appointments with Laramie by calling 410-653-2769. She's now a stylist at Neha Threading Salon & Spa, 1501 Reisterstown Rd., Pikesville.

Thank you so much for posting my tribute to an amazing woman. Yolanda Brown Carr was a former school mate, a master stylist, an employer, a mentor, and a friend to me. She saw her staff and her loyal clients as an extension of her family. She will surely not be forgotten. Anita Delgado-Taylor a.k.a. Bronzediva   more ›
