Dogwood Elementary To Be Honored for Achievement
The Windsor Mill school has been named a Title I Superlative Highest Performing Reward School.
All students at Dogwood Elementary School have improved their test scores—18 percentage points or more—during the past two years. For that achievement, and for meeting other criteria, the school has been named a Title I Superlative Highest Performing Reward School, according to a news release from Baltimore County Public Schools. The school, which has 50 percent of its students from economically disadvantaged families, also met the following, to get the honor: On Thursday, State Superintendent of Schools Dr. Lillian M. Lowery and Baltimore County Public Schools Superintendent Dr. S. Dallas Dance will be at the school. They'll recognize teachers, students, and administrators, including Principal Betty Pettiford.
