Pikesville Precinct Crime: 2 Sheds Burgled along Same Road

The following information was supplied by the Baltimore County Police Department. In cases where a criminal charge is noted, the information provided does not indicate a conviction.

Lochearn Buckingham Road. 4100 block. Between 4 p.m. April 24 and 5:30 p.m. April 26. A burglar cut the lock on a shed and stole a generator and 5-gallon containers of fuel. Buckingham Road. 4100 block. At another home. Between 10 a.m. April 23 and 12:35 p.m. April 25. A burglar broke the doorknob off a shed to get in and took four items. Details of those items were not provided by police.   Pikesville Balin Court. 9000 block. Between 8:30 p.m. April 28 and 12:30 a.m. April 29. A burglar broke the rear, glass door to get inside an apartment and stole an Xbox, laptop computer, digital camera and cash. The apartment also was ransacked. Smith Avenue. 3200 block. Burglars Break into Royal Farms, Try Stealing ATM

Burglars got through Royal Farms' security system and locks but couldn't remove the ATM from inside. At about 2:21 a.m. Monday, two males unscrewed the lightbulb outside the store at 2330 Smith Avenue, and cut a deadbolt lock with a circular saw. Inside, they cut motion sensor wires and tried unsuccessfully to steal the ATM before they ran toward Old Pimlico Road.

Pikesville Crime: Burglar Steals Motorcycle from Open Garage

Pikesville Gerard Court. 2300 block, between 1:25-1:50 p.m. Aug. 22. Two children, both described as about 8 years old, stole a bicycle from the garage of a home. The garage door was open. The bike was recovered, but the children ran. Chickory Hill Lane. 4600 block,  between 12:01 a.m. July 12 and 3 p.m. Aug. 21. An orange Stihl chainsaw, and grey Echo pole shears were taken from a shed. Smith Avenue. 2100 block, between 11:30 p.m. Aug. 19 and 5:30 a.m. Aug. 20. A black, 1996 Yamaha motorcycle, two black motorcycle helmets and a set of keys that were in the ignition were taken from a garage. Pikesville Crime: Arson at 7-Eleven, Cigarettes Stolen

An arsonist set a pile of magazines on fire near a propane tank outside an Owings Mills 7-Eleven. At about 1:02 a.m. July 13, police were called to the store at 8890 McDonogh Rd., where the suspected arson had occurred. Siding on the building was damaged and gasoline was spilled around the area. Lochearn Westridge Road. 6600 block. Between 1 a.m. July 9 and 2 p.m. July 14. A burglar removed a master lock on a shed door and stole some equipment. Stolen were a trimmer, a leaf blower and a John Deere mower. It's not known how the burglar transported the items away from the home. Milford Mill Liberty Road. 8011. Between 3:30 and 3:40 a.m. July 14. A burglar destroyed the glass front door before stealing Newport cigarettes and lighters. …

Lochearn Patterson Avenue. 3700 block. Between 1 p.m. March 30 and 4 p.m. April 8. Plastic piping was reported missing from the basement of a home, according to an April 22 report. Milford Mill Kenbridge Road. 7800 block. At 4:36 p.m. Friday. A diamond ring with white gold band and $1,600 in cash were reported missing from a home. Tentmill Lane. Unit block. Pikesville Crime: Armed Robber Targets Royal Farms

Pikesville Copperbend Lane. 6900 block. Between 10 p.m. Jan. 31 and 6:15 a.m. Feb. 1. A moped owner reported that his vehicle was missing. Royal Farms, 3300 Smith Ave. 10:49 p.m. Jan. 28. A man pointed a gun at a clerk and stole $130, before running toward Bank of America. Pittsfield Road and McDonogh Road. Between 4:30 a.m. Jan. 26 and 5 p.m. Jan. 27. A car broke down in the intersection. When the owner returned, it was missing. Randallstown Courtleigh Drive. 3600 block. Between 8 p.m. Jan. 29 and 8 a.m. Jan. 30. A home was ransacked, and a rear window, toilets and $1700 in clothing were destroyed. Church Lane. 8500 block. Between 6:30 p.m. Jan. 24 and 8:45 a.m. Jan. 28. A heat pump and fuse box were removed.

UPDATE: Police Make Arrest in Two Pikesville Home Invasions

UPDATE (11:22 a.m. Dec. 2)—Baltimore County police arrested a city man on Tuesday who they allege robbed elderly victims in two Pikesville home invasions within the last week. Durante Ricco Ervin, 50, of the 2000 block of Shirley Avenue in Baltimore, is charged with home invasion robberies that occurred on Sunday and Tuesday. Police allege that Durante forced his way into an elderly resident's home in the 3000 block of Smith Avenue on Sunday, implied that he had a gun and stole the resident's wallet before fleeing. Pikesville Crime: Bumpers Scratched, Money, Checks, Computers Missing

Pikesville Smith Avenue. Shell Station, 2859 Smith Ave. Between noon Nov. 25 and noon Nov. 27. A staff member reported that more than $3,800 was missing from the safe at the gas station. Police said they reviewed security footage, but were unable to determine how the money went missing. Greenwood Place. Unit block. Between 3 p.m. Nov. 26 and 8:45 a.m. Nov. 27. Apple computer monitors, a TV, personal checks and business checks were reported missing from ICS Associates. UPDATE: Royal Farms Robbed, One Arrested, $40 Stolen

Two men, one with a handgun, stole $40 from the Smith Avenue store in Pikesville. Two employees were in the store at the time.

UPDATE (3:44 p.m. Nov. 7)—Armed robbers stole $40 from the Smith Avenue Royal Farms store on Nov. 3, according to the latest report from the Baltimore County Police Department. At about 11:47 p.m. Nov. 3, three men parked their vehicle one block away from the Royal Farms store located at 2330 Smith Ave., according to the report, written the night of Nov. 4. At about 11:48 p.m., two of the men came in the store and one of them displayed a handgun to two employees, Lt. Jay Landsman has said. Meanwhile, the other man emptied the registers, the new report states.
