The 9-pound 11-ounce Chaya Tzipora Danziger, a resident of Upper Park Heights, was born at 1:43 a.m. Tuesday.
An Upper Park Heights couple's baby girl was the first to be born in 2013 at the BirthPlace at Sinai Hospital in Baltimore. It was midnight Tuesday—the beginning of the new year—when Elisheva and Kalman Danziger of the Greenspring area near Pikesville got to the registration desk. And by 1:43 a.m., Chaya Tzipora Danziger was born, weighing 9 pounds, 11 ounces. "She was coming fast," Elisheva said. Sinai Hospital: Baby Girl Segal wins savings bond for being the first baby born the day of the AFC Championship game.
A Pikesville baby was born a winner Sunday. Baby Girl Segal was born at 10:41 p.m., the day of the Ravens vs. Patriots AFC Championship game. While the Ravens lost, she won because she was the first born that day at the BirthPlace at Sinai. For that distinction, the hospital awarded her a $3,000 savings bond, according to a news release from the hospital. Shaina and Gershom Segal are the proud parents of Baby Girl Segal who weighed 8 pounds, 15 ounces, and measured 21.3 inches in length, the release states. “I certainly wasn’t anticipating winning an award while my wife was in labor yesterday,” Gershom Segal said in the news release. “However, now that our daughter is here, it’s a wonderful surprise."
