North Baltimore Man, 58, Arrested in Pikesville Burglary

A Baltimore man was arrested and charged with burglary and theft after a bicycle and donations allegedly were stolen from a Pikesville driveway. At 10:21 a.m., Dec. 6, Edward Paul Gaskin Jr., 58, allegedy came onto the driveway in the 700 block of Leafydale Terrace, and allegedly took a bicycle and items set outside for a donation pick-up, a police report states. Police say they found Gaskin, a resident of the 4500 block of Kenilworth Ave., at Milford Mill Road and Scotts Level Drive. He is charged with two counts of fourth-degree burglary and two counts of theft under $1,000, according to court records. Gaskin was released from the Baltimore County Detention Center on $100 bond. His trial is set for April 24 in Catonsville District Court…

Halloween, Trick-or-Treating Events in the Pikesville Area

Reisterstown Road Plaza has an indoor celebration with trick-or-treating from 5:30-7:30 p.m. Wednesday. And in the Silver Creek community, there's trick-or-treating from 6-8 p.m. Add your community's event to the list!

Happy Halloween from Pikesville Patch! Looking for a safe, indoor place to celebrate Halloween? Reisterstown Road Plaza is holding its annual trick-or-treat celebration Wednesday evening for children ages 11 and younger and their adults. Kids will be able to go store-to-store, gathering treats from the Plaza merchants who are participating, inside the mall. They'll also make sand pictures, take swings at the pinatas, and make door wreaths and other crafts. The festivities are set for 5:30-7:30 p.m. at the mall's Center Court, 6776 Reisterstown Road, Baltimore. There will also be time to shop at the stores outside the mall, including at Big Lots, Marshalls, Burlington and Modell's Sporting Goods, Giant Food, Shoppers World and Home Depot. …

UPDATE: 2 Found Dead in Pikesville Home

Police suspect foul play after discovering the bodies of two elderly residents who had suffered traumatic injuries at their Sudbrook Park home in Pikesville.

UPDATE (10:15 p.m.) Camera flashes flickered through the windows of an Olmstead Road home Monday evening as detectives inside investigated a double homicide. Police say they found an elderly man and woman dead in the Sudbrook Park home shortly after 4 p.m. Monday. The as yet unidentified pair suffered traumatic wounds, according to Cpl. John Wachter, police spokesman. The man was found on floor of the first level. The woman was found on the basement floor, he said. Sudbrook Road resident Brian Kuebler lamented that such a crime occurred just down the street, where Sudbrook turns into Olmstead Road.
