Coach and teacher accused of having sexual contact with a Shoshana S. Cardin School student in 2009 and 2010 was arrested Jan. 10 at his employment at The Day School at Baltimore Hebrew.
Foye C. Minton Jr., the Shoshana S. Cardin School coach and teacher charged with child abuse of a student, was arrested Jan. 10 at his current job at the private Baltimore Hebrew Day School. Minton, a resident of Cockeysville, is charged with second-degree child abuse for offenses that occurred between Jan. 17, 2009, and Dec. 31, 2010, when he worked at Cardin, police said Tuesday. The alleged abuse occurred with a female who was a student at Cardin at the time, according to a statement issued Tuesday by Baltimore County police. The eight-member Class of 2012 chose award-winning horror fiction writer Dr. Norman Prentiss as its guest speaker.
What if the members of the graduating class of Shoshana S. Cardin School woke to their commencement day, only to find that they had to complete another four years? An horrific thought for any graduate. That's how Dr. Norman Prentiss, chairman of the English Department at the school and award-winning horror fiction author began his keynote address Thursday at Temple Oheb Shalom. "The story is called "Four More Years," Prentiss said, referring to the graduation horror story he wrote for the occasion. David Prashker of Miami will lead the school for the 2012-13 school year.
David Prashker has been named the new head of school for The Shoshana S. Cardin School, the school announced Thursday. Prashker, who is currently the director of education for Temple Sinai of North Dade/Jacobson Sinai Academy in Miami, will take on the new role for the 2012-13 school year, a news release states. "We are confident that Mr. Prashker’s unique perspective on Jewish education and leadership experience will help us to continue to grow and thrive,” Howard Rosenbloom, president of The Cardin School board of directors, said in a statement.
