Greenspring Shell Clerk Robbed at Gunpoint

The following information was supplied by the Baltimore County Police Department's Pikesville Precinct. In cases where a criminal charge is noted, it does not indicate a conviction.

A clerk at the Shell gas station in the Greenspring Shopping Center had a gun placed on her head and chest during a robbery this week. At 11:30 p.m. Tuesday, a robber came into the store, ordered the clerk to give him money, ran behind the counter and put the gun on her, according to a Baltimore County police report. He took cash and some boxes of cigarettes, and ran toward Wood Court Road, the report states. The store is located at 2859 Smith Ave. in Pikesville.

obviously no justification for a violent crime such as this, but i agree with this comment that the prices were somewhere in site of "normal" when they reopened, only to skyrocket soon after. If i had no gas, i'd go there for one gallon, then drive elsewhere to save 30 cents a gallon.   more ›

The following information was supplied by the Baltimore County Police Department. In cases where a criminal charge is noted, the information provided does not indicate a conviction.

Burglars climbed onto the roof of the Greenspring Shopping Center gas station last week, trying to get into the business. How's the Price? Greenspring Shell after Renovations

On Monday night, regular gasoline was $3.37 per gallon, three cents higher than the $3.34 per gallon at the Mobil station at 1509 Reisterstown Road.

Some Pikesville Patch Facebook fans have said in the past that Shell at Greenspring Shopping Center had higher prices than some other stations in Pikesville. But, since Shell reopened after renovations this fall, the prices seem comparable. Have you noticed? And how can anyone help but notice the TV set up at each gas pump? Here are the lowest gasoline prices elsewhere in Pikesville, according to Pikesville Patch's Commute tool. This tool, located under "More Stuff" on the home page, lists prices, addresses and maps of where to get gasoline in Pikesville. Click on Commute any time you need to fill up your vehicle.  It also allows you to find prices in Randallstown, Owings Mills and Garrison. What's your opinion about the renovations and …

I used to get the best gas mileage when I purchased my gas at this Shell station; I always figured it was because the other stations were watering down their gas (using more ethanol). Since the lower prices at this station, however, my mileage has been the same as if I purchased my gas elsewhere.   more ›

The station, which is the sole station in the neighborhood, is open again after about a month of renovations. It's located at 2859 Smith Ave., and also offers a service bay. The site also sports a new, digital sign. What do you think of the renovations at Shell, and how about those prices in the photo taken Friday?
