Pikesville Crime: Robbers Surround Woman, Steal Purse, Pills

The following information was supplied by the Baltimore County Police Department. In cases where a criminal charge is noted, the information provided does not indicate a conviction.

A woman said narcotics were missing from her purse after it was snatched Sunday in the Greenspring area near Wellwood. According to a report by Baltimore County police, at 10:30 p.m. Sunday, five men surrounded the 42-year-old woman, who was in front of a residence in the 6600 block of Sanzo Road. They allegedly stole her purse and ran, the report states. She said she found her purse, but a pill bottle that had been filled with pills was empty, it states. Police searched but did not find the suspects. They were described as five men, ages 18-20, and between 5-foot 9-inches and 5-foot 10-inches tall. One wore a black, hooded sweatshirt and blue jeans, and another wore a red jacket with blue jeans, the report states.

The Patch has some serious issues they need to deal with when reporting these crimes. If the police report contains age sex race height etc, so should the reporting on this site. To delete that information is an abandonment of journalistic standards. It is a lie of omission.   more ›

Wow! Was I wrong. I haven't been back today to see how many came down. Maybe they took out only those few in front of Rite Aid and Sunoco. Did anyone see?   more ›
