Police: Man Robbed of Shoes, Phone in Pikesville Building

The following information was supplied by the Baltimore County Police Department's Pikesville Precinct. In cases where a criminal charge is noted, it does not indicate a conviction.

A Reisterstown man was arrested after Baltimore County police charged him with armed robbery Jan. 24 in Pikesville. At about 1 p.m., a 27-year-old aquaintance of Jylio Arturo Makel, 27, was in the building at 1116 Reisterstown Road when allegedly Makel and four others approached him. The building houses Healthway Pharmacy and some offices. The group allegedly asked the victim for money and shoes, according to a police report. When the victim said he didn't have it, one of the suspects allegedly pulled out a gun and removed the victim's shoes and cell phone from him. The suspects drove away in a silver Acura TL, the report states. The victim's Samsung Galaxy 2 cell phone and his Timberland boots were stolen but not recovered, the report …

Police Investigating Human Body Found in Baltimore County

The investigation was spurred by the discovery of skeletal remains Wednesday in Reisterstown.

Baltimore County police continue to investigate the discovery of a dead body, days after uncovering the remains of a human hand in Reisterstown, according to a media advisory. The body of an unidentified male was discovered in the Hanover Pike and Butler Road area Saturday morning. “Police investigators had returned to the area to conduct a detailed search after a human hand had been found earlier in the week near the 300-block of Hedgepocket Way, 21136,” the release states. Police have not yet identified the corpse, nor have they provided a description at this time. The remains have been transported to the the Chief Medical Examiner’s Office for an autopsy. Police Confirm Human Hand Found in Reisterstown

Baltimore County Police confirmed that a human hand was found on a Reisterstown property on Wednesday.

Police confirmed that a human hand was found on a Reisterstown property Wednesday morning. The hand, which consisted mostly of skeletal remains, was found in the 300 block of Hedge Pocket Way by a landscaper working in the area. He called police at 11:08 a.m., said Cpl. Cathy Batton, a Baltimore County police spokeswoman. Police were awaiting the results of the Chief Medical Examiner’s tests, which confirmed Thursday that what was found is a human hand, according to a press release. The case is still under investigation, police said.

Police: Reisterstown Landscaper Possibly Finds Human Hand

A landscaper found skeletal remains while working in Reisterstown Wednesday morning.

Officials are investigating skeletal remains that that appeared in Reisterstown Wednesday morning. A landscaper was working in the 300 block of Hedge Pocket Way in Reisterstown when he discovered bones that appeared to be part of a human hand. The landscaper called police at 11:08 a.m. on Wednesday, said Cpl. Cathy Batton, a Baltimore County police spokeswoman. "We can’t confirm that it’s a hand just yet," Batton said. Police are awaiting the results of tests by the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner, which should be available tomorrow. “The hand is mostly skeletal remains and at this point, detectives are attempting to find how it came to be there,” Batton said.

The hand is a little more than skeletal remains. Skin tissue from the wrist to the finger tips were fully intact. Finger nails were also still present on the remains. It appeared to be old nothing "fresh" .   more ›

Three Men Arrested in Reisterstown, Pikesville Robberies

Police charged three men with robbing a Pikesville 7-Eleven, and one of the three was also charged with robbing the Dunkin’ Donuts on Main Street in Reisterstown.

Baltimore County Police have charged three men in an armed robbery in Pikesville and one of them with another armed robbery in Reisterstown. Jason Lee Morton, 22, and his brother, Jamal Glenn Morton, 19, both of the 4100 block of Brown Bark Circle in Randallstown, and Kenneth Sebastian Blue Jr., 19, of the 3800 block of Janbrook Road in Randallstown, are all charged with armed robbery and use of a firearm in a felony in connection with an incident on Tuesday, Nov. 6, at the 7-Eleven on Greenwood Place in Pikesville. Jamal Morton is also charged with first-degree assault and theft, according to a Baltimore County Police report. Woman Tells Police TV Stolen To Avoid Payment

A Reisterstown woman was charged with making a false statement to police after an officer found a TV she said was stolen inside her apartment.

One local woman thought she could avoid paying for a rented television by telling police it was stolen. The problem? Police paid her a visit, and found the TV safe and sound at her apartment. Regina Ann Miller, 51, of the 200 block of Cork Lane in Reisterstown, was arrested and charged with making a false statement after reporting a burglary to officers at the Baltimore County Police Franklin Precinct No. 3. “It became clear that she was concocting the story to avoid payment on a TV that she had rented,” according to a press release. “An officer met her at her home and found the TV inside her apartment, plugged in and with dust on it.”

Randallstown Man Charged with Attempted Murder

Police charged the man with attempted murder after he allegedly shot at a Reisterstown man in what police say was a drug deal gone bad.

A 32-year-old man has been charged with attempted murder in an incident in which he allegedly shot at a Reisterstown man who got into his car to sell him drugs, police said. Wahkean Ali Taylor, of the 8800 block of Falcon Ridge Drive in Randallstown, approached a 23-year-old Reisterstown resident about drugs at the intersection of Cherry Hill Court and Cherry Hill Road on Friday, June 11, at 2:24 a.m., police said. When the man got into Taylor’s car, he robbed him at gunpoint, police said. After reportedly taking $40 worth of marijuana and the man’s ketchup bottle, police said the victim exited the vehicle.
