Purim 2013: Photos from Holiday Celebrations

A collection of reports by BaltimoreJewishLife.com from the holiday in the Pikesville area.

During Purim, Jews celebrate overcoming the threat of being massacred by defeating the anti-Semite Haman and his followers. Purim which means "lots," is celebrated Mardi Gras-style, with adults and children dressing up in costumes, often of characters from the story Megillat Esther. BaltimoreJewishLife.com was out last weekend, taking photos from Purim celebrations throughout the Pikesville area: I'll update this collection as more are posted by area congregations who held Purim carnivals and parties. Meanwhile, share your own photos from the holiday by uploading them to this article. Read more about Purim 2013:

You have options: Email them to Pikesville Patch Editor Janet Metzner at janet.metzner@patch.com, or upload them into this article. Or if you have a collection you'd like to show, send a link so we can include it in the above list.
