Construction season continues in Pikesville. On Monday, a crew poured a section of sidewalk in front of the Pikesville precinct at 215 Milford Mill Road. The precinct is open 24 hours a day, and opened in 2006.

Pikesville Crime: Bus Driver Beaten, Suspect in Dumpster

The following information was supplied by the Baltimore County Police Department. In cases were a criminal charge is noted, the information provided does not indicate a conviction.

Two men were arrested Tuesday for beating a bus driver who had reprimanded them. Keyjuan Kenneth Branch, 19, and Johnathan Michael Watkins, 20, were charged with first-degree assault in the incident that occurred on an Maryland Transit Administration bus, according to a police report. Between 6:55-7 p.m. Tuesday, the 43-year-old male driver was operating the bus on Milford Mill Road and Liberty Road in Milford Mill, when he reportedly asked the men to stop ringing the buzzer. In response, when the bus was stopped, the two allegedly punched and kicked the driver in the head and face, and ran. According to the report, police found Branch hiding in a dumpster in the 8000 block of Woodgate Court. Police captured Watkins at Peach Bottom Lane …

Pikesville Crime: Burglars Climb To Steal Bicycles

Bicycle thefts are a summertime problem in Pikesville, according to police at the Baltimore County Police Department's precinct 4. Pikesville Bonnie Ridge Drive. 6600 block. Between June 3 and Aug. 3. A burglar broke into a storage unit and removed two bicycles: a black SROM and a pink Mongoose. Bosges Road. 8200 block. Between 9:45 and 11:30 a.m. Aug. 3. A burglar stole a variety of food, a bottle of rum and a silver Sanyo DVD player from a home. 6911 Bonnie Ridge Drive. Between 2 p.m. July 29 and 10:30 p.m. Aug. 3. UPDATE: Neighborhood Groups to Light the Night Tuesday

It's National Night Out, and community groups are holding events throughout the Pikesville and Woodlawn precincts of the Baltimore County Police Department.

UPDATE (3:49 p.m.)—The Sudbrook Park National Night Out event has been canceled. The Baltimore County Police Department, elected officials, local celebrities and county civic groups will mark the 29th anniversary of National Night Out on Tuesday. It's a time to meet with Baltimore County police, McGruff the Crime Dog, and members of your community, and come up with ways to support crime prevention. The department asks anyone who participates to put in a blue light bulb in their porch light, and turn it on from 6-11 p.m. It's "a peaceful way to display participation in National Night Out," according to a news release from police. Pikesville Crime: Burglars Target Piping, Holiday Decorations

  Pikesville Old Court Road. 3500 block. Between 9 p.m. March 31 and Monday. A resident reported that 200 feet of plastic piping was missing from her yard. Sugarloaf Court. Unit block. Between Aug. 1 and noon Monday. An apartment resident reported that a storage locker was broken into, and that all of its contents—holiday and seasonal items—were missing.

UPDATE: 4 People Injured in Garrison Stabbing

Police say two young adults were taken to hospitals, one with a life-threatening stab wound. Two others were injured but did not require treatment. Police are also investigating the report of a shot fired nearby, but no one was injured.

UPDATE (7:17 p.m.)—Two young adults, estimated to be between the ages of 18 and 25, were stabbed inside a Garrison townhome Tuesday afternoon, police said. One of the injured has a life-threatening stab wound, and one suffered a cut from the stabbing. They were taken to Northwest Hospital, said Det. Cathy Batton, Baltimore County police spokeswoman. Two others in the home were also injured, but did not require treatment, she said. On Tuesday evening, police were still investigating the argument that led to the stabbing, as well as a shot that was fired nearby, "from around the corner" at Spectator and Fitzharding Road, Batton said. Police: Mother Stabs Son, Is Charged With Abuse

UPDATE (10:36 a.m. Feb. 27) — Jacqueline Natalie Smith, 33, has been charged with assault after allegedly stabbing her teenage son early Wednesday, Baltimore County Police said. Baltimore County police responded to a call to find the teen with a stab wound to his upper leg. According to a police statement, he had been in an argument with his mother, and she allegedly stabbed him. Police arrested the teen's mother, who is a resident of the unit block of Stockmill Road in Pikesville, and charged her with first-degree assault, second-degree assault, first-degree child abuse, second-degree child abuse and resisting arrest, according to a police statement. She is currently being held at the Baltimore County Detention Center on $150,000 bail. …

Pikesville Crime: Armed Robber Strikes Pizza Shop

Pikesville Copperbend Lane. 6900 block. Between 10 p.m. Jan. 31 and 6:15 a.m. Feb. 1. A moped owner reported that his vehicle was missing. Royal Farms, 3300 Smith Ave. 10:49 p.m. Jan. 28. A man pointed a gun at a clerk and stole $130, before running toward Bank of America. Pittsfield Road and McDonogh Road. Between 4:30 a.m. Jan. 26 and 5 p.m. Jan. 27.
