Aaron Pross was charged after the discovery of an inappropriate video that was sent to a 16-year-old girl.
A five-year veteran of the Baltimore County Police Officer pleaded guilty Monday to one count of misconduct stemming from allegations that he was having sex while on duty. Aaron Pross, an officer assigned to the Pikesville Precinct who lives in Newark, DE, entered the plea in Baltimore County Circuit Court as part of an agreement with the Baltimore County State's Attorney's office. As part of the agreement, the state's attorney will not request any specific sentence other than Pross not receive probation before judgment and that he resigns from the Baltimore County Police Department, according to Deputy State's Attorney Robin Coffin. A woman reportedly scared a burglar away from her house by turning on lights. At about 10:30 p.m. Friday, a resident of the unit block of Salem Court in Pikesville woke up to a banging noise. After she turned on the lights and went downstairs, the noise stopped. An hour later she saw that a window had been broken, and there were boot marks on the door. 15-year-old Cheyenne Abbott was at Milford Mill and Liberty roads, police say.
A Milford Mill teen has been missing since Monday when she was at Milford Mill and Liberty roads in Milford Mill. Baltimore County police need help finding 15-year-old Cheyenne Angel Abbott, a 5-foot 7-inch 15-year-old, according to a news release Thursday. She weighs 252 pounds, and was last seen at about 9 a.m. in that area, the release states. According to a Baltimore Breaking News report, Abbott was at the Christmas tree stand, near Giant Foods the last time she was seen. Police say Abbott is resident of the 8000 block of Woodgate Court, Milford Mill, and they do not know where she went. "She may still be in the Baltimore metropolitan area," the release states. Police: Some students' belongings may have been taken.
A burglar came into Pikesville High School last week, possibly through an unlocked door. Between 7-8:30 p.m., some students' property may have been taken as well, but had not yet been verified, according to the Baltimore County Police Department report written Tuesday. The second-degree burglary occurred at the school, located at 7621 Labyrinth Rd.

A 52-year-old Lochearn man was shot in the shoulder Tuesday morning while walking along Patterson Avenue. At about 1:30 a.m., a vehicle pulled up to him, and one of the occupants shot at him twice while using a handgun, according to a report by the Pikesville precinct. Burglars abandoned two bicycles in a backyard on Sunday, authorities said. At about 2:50 a.m., at least two people on bicycles came into a resident's property and unlocked the door to the basement stairs, according to a police report. However, before they got into the building, located in the 3500 block of Barton Oaks Road, an alarm sounded, and the scared burglars ran, the police report states. Police said they searched the area but could not find the burglars.

The National Night Out event drew dozens of residents from throughout the neighborhood.
The Ralston Community Association and Citizens on Patrol groups hosted a neighborhood party Tuesday during National Night Out. Dozens of residents turned out to meet and greet each other and to discuss crime prevention. Baltimore County police, McGruff the Crime Dog, members of the Pikesville Police & Community relations council and staff members from the Pikesville Target store visited the event, as well as four others within the Pikesville area. The groups offered drinks, chips, fruit and favors for the kids, including bubbles. Association president Anna Davis said the COP and the association volunteers work together to prevent crime in the community. During National Night Out on Tuesday, residents gathered in front of the pool at the community located in Garrison, to visit with neighbors, Baltimore County police and members of the police Explorers group.
The smell of grilled hotdogs and hamburgers wafted down the hill as children greeted McGruff the Crime Dog. Other kids played with gliders while neighbors visited with each other and police. It was National Night Out Tuesday in Queen Anne Village, and the homeowners group launched a cookout that attracted dozens of residents. "I'm hoping we will bring the community together, where they will know each other as neighbors and help each other out," said Brian Clevenger, vice president for the Queen Anne Village Homeowners Association. The Baltimore County Police Department has assigned 10 of its graduating class of officers to the Pikesville precinct and 9 more to the Woodlawn precinct.
Ten officers set to graduate Thursday are headed for the Pikesville precinct, according to a news release from the Baltimore County Police Department.
