Thunderstorms Expected in Pikesville Area

The National Weather Service forecast calls for thunderstorms by 11 p.m. Monday, and again on Tuesday.

Rain and thunderstorms are ahead for the Pikesville area. According to the National Weather Service, there's a 70 percent chance of those storms, and they could begin by 11 p.m. Monday, bringing up to .25 inches of rain. Thunderstorms could come again after 1 p.m. Tuesday, with gusts up to 33 mph, it states. As of 5:51 p. Monday, a hazardous weather outlook was still in effect for the Chesapeake Bay area, Central Maryland, Northern Virginia and Washington D.C. That's through Tuesday. Showers, Thunderstorms Forecast for Labor Day, Through Week

Rain is in the forecast through Saturday.

It looks like a rainy, stormy week is ahead, according to the National Weather Service's Pikesville forecast. We start off with an 80-90 percent chance of precipitation today and tonight, including showers and thunderstorms. A flash flood watch is in effect from this evening through Tuesday evening in central and southern Maryland, Washington, D.C. and Northern Virginia, according to the NWS. The high is expected to be about 81 degrees, and the low 60 degrees. Showers are also expected tomorrow, and through Saturday. But after today, temperatures will fall a bit. For Tuesday, expect a high of 69 degrees and a low of 62 degrees. On Wednesday and Thursday, the high will be about 73 degrees, and the low will be 64 degrees.
