A ceremony will be held to signify the completion of a three-year-long renovation project at Milford Mill Academy. The event, which begins at 10 a.m. Mar. 18, will include tours of the renovated building and student performances, according to a news release from the Baltimore County Public Schools system. Principal Roderick W. Harden Sr. and schools superintendent S. Milford Mill Academy has a new addition, gymnasium and other amenities, now that a three-year construction project is complete. "The ongoing challenge of this long-term project was not interfering with the day-to-day functions of the high school, as well as maintaining a completely safe environment for students, faculty members and visitors,” Joseph Rode, president of Mullan Contracting Company, said in a statement. Work was completed mainly during school breaks and at night, according to a news release from the Lutherville company. The project included renovations and additions. Burglars entered two unlocked vehicles in the same block recently. Between 11 p.m. Feb. 14 and 6 a.m. Feb. 15, nothing was stolen from both vehicles that were parked in the 3600 block of Langrehr Rd. in Milford Mill, according to a report by Baltimore County police.

A burglar came into a side window of a Pikesville residence this week and stole diamonds, a pillowcase and jewelry box. The incident occurred between midnight and 4:54 a.m. Monday at a home in the 3500 block of Northridge Dr., according to a report from Baltimore County police. That home is in the Long Meadow Estates area. Among the jewelry stolen were a diamond watch, diamond ring and earrings, two diamond chains, a diamond pin and two jewelry boxes, it states. Milford Mill Washington Avenue. 3600 block. Betweeen 9 a.m. Feb. 3 and 6:20 p.m. Saturday. A burglar pried open the door to the shed, ransacked it and stole an air compressor, power drill, two power trimmers, a leaf blower and a chainsaw.

Milford Mill Church Lane. 8300 block. Between 2:45 and 5:31 p.m. Jan. 31. A man was out in this area when he was robbed of his iPhone and earpiece. A robber attacked him from behind. Police are investigating a suspect they say is "known to the area." Pikesville Debilen Circle. 4600 block. Between midnight and 3 p.m. Jan. 30. A resident reported that two video gaming systems were missing from her apartment. There was no forced entry.

Maladho Diallo, 36, of Windsor Mill, died Tuesday morning after being struck by a car in Milford Mill.
Baltimore County Police have identified the woman who died Tuesday morning after being struck by a car in Milford Mill. Maladho Diallo, 36, of the unit block of Liberty Place in Windsor Mill, died at Northwest Hospital on Tuesday, according to Baltimore County Police press release. Police were called to Liberty and Liberty Place roads in Milford Mill at 6:48 a.m. Tuesday for a report of a pedestrian struck. Investigators determined that Diallo was trying to cross Liberty Road from the south side to the north side when a 2005 Ford E150 struck her as she entered the left lane of eastbound Liberty Road. Milford Mill business All About You Health Care Services submitted fraudulent claims to the Medicaid program.
A Milford Mill health care business will pay nearly $160,000 in restitution and penalties to the Maryland Medicaid program after submitting false claims. The case against All About You Health Care Services was filed in February 2012 by state Attorney General Doug Gansler, according to a news release Monday from Gansler's office. The settlement was reached during mediation ordered by the Circuit Court for Baltimore County. "The investigation showed that services were done without adequate medical supervision in violation of Maryland Medicaid regulations," the release states. A man and teen were arrested Tuesday and charged with armed robbery. According to a police report, a Milford Mill man got off the bus at Liberty Road and Washington Avenue at about 7:15 p.m. Wednesday, when Dartez Christopher Hatcher, 21, of Brooklyn, MD, allegedly grabbed him from behind. The victim said he saw a semi-automatic handgun. Meanwhile, the juvenile, a resident of the Ramblewood area of Baltimore, allegedly approached the victim from the front and stole his cell phone, shoes and hat, the report states. A missing teenage girl has been found alive and well, police said. Cheyenne Abbott, a 15-year-old girl reported missing from Milford Mill this month, "has been located alive and well," according to a news release Thursday from the Baltimore County Police Department. The Milford Mill resident had been missing since Dec. 17, when she was last seen at Milford Mill Road and Liberty Road, near the Giant Foods store. She had been reported missing before, from Glen Burnie, according to a Glen Burnie Patch report.
