If you're heading out and driving Friday morning, it might be a good idea to avoid McDonogh Road. Although there's only about 1 inch of snow, it's icy there, cars have been abandoned alongside the road, and there are several accidents, said Pikesville resident Cheryl Wapner Cohen. "Cars are bumber-to-bumper," the longtime Pikesville resident said. "I've never seen it that bad." According to a Baltimore County Police Department officer, there have been numerous accidents in that area, up to 30. Salt trucks were requested this morning to make a second pass in the area. That includes McDonough, Reisterstown and Stevenson roads. Cohen said that, as of 9:15 a.m., main roads Reisterstown and Old Court where she traveled seemed fine for driving. …

A head-on collision in Owings Mills sent at least one person to the hospital Sunday night, police said.
At least one person was transported to the hospital after a head-on collision Sunday night in Owings Mills, police said. Police were called the 8600 block of McDonogh Road in Owings Mills at 7:57 p.m. for report of a head-on collision between a Honda and an Audi. One person was sent to Sinai Hospital’s trauma center. Medical personnel were evaluating five people at the scene, according to Baltimore Police Cpl. John Wachter. The police’s crash team was not assigned to the incident, which means there were most likely no serious injuries involved, Wachter said. Police and medics were still at the scene at 8:45 p.m. and others might have been transported to the hospital, Wachter said.

An arsonist set a pile of magazines on fire near a propane tank outside an Owings Mills 7-Eleven. At about 1:02 a.m. July 13, police were called to the store at 8890 McDonogh Rd., where the suspected arson had occurred. Siding on the building was damaged and gasoline was spilled around the area. Lochearn Westridge Road. 6600 block. Between 1 a.m. July 9 and 2 p.m. July 14. A burglar removed a master lock on a shed door and stole some equipment. Stolen were a trimmer, a leaf blower and a John Deere mower. It's not known how the burglar transported the items away from the home. Milford Mill Liberty Road. 8011. Between 3:30 and 3:40 a.m. July 14. A burglar destroyed the glass front door before stealing Newport cigarettes and lighters. …
