Walmart To Bring Vision Center, Pharmacy, Subway, Salon

Randallstown's new business will be open 24 hours per day, seven days a week.

When the new Walmart Super Center opens next week in Randallstown, it brings with it a Subway restaurant and SmartStyle hair salon. That's in addition to Walmart's grocery, deli, bakery, home and garden center and pharmacy—including a drive-thru feature—according to a news release from Walmart. “The president, board of directors, members and staff of the Liberty Road Business Association are excited to welcome Walmart to the Liberty Road business community and are looking forward to Walmart’s involvement,” Harold G. Pikesville Crime: Senior Woman's Rocker, GPS Stolen

Villa Nova Villa Nova Road. 4100 block. Between 1 a.m. and 2 p.m. Sunday. A woman, 70, reported that someone stole her green iron rocking bench from her front porch. Lochearn 8505 Liberty Road. Between 8:41-8:47 a.m. Sunday. A man in his early 20s walked through the parking lot of Elite Import Auto Care and pulled on door handles of the eight vehicles in the lot. Surveillance video from the neighboring business recorded the act. The suspect wore a gray sweatshirt, bluejeans and had a light-blue backpack. Owings Mills Grummore Circle. 8900 block. State To Continue Spraying Thursday in Milford Mill, Pikesville

The State Department of Agriculture trucks will spray against mosquitoes, using BioMist 30-30 from trucks beginning at 7:30 p.m.

Spraying against mosquitoes is set to continue Thursday in Milford Mill, Pikesville and Lochearn areas. That's because a Baltimore County resident recently contracted West Nile virus from the bugs. If you live west of the Baltimore City line in the Pikesville area—including in Milford Mill and Lochearn—then your area might be set for spray by The Maryland Department of Agriculture. MDA trucks will spray BioMist 30-30 while they're driven through the streets. The department sprayed last week, and they'll be at it again at 7:30 p.m. Thursday. Pikesville Crime: Burglar Finds Hidden Key, Steals TVs

Pikesville Fallstaff Road. 4200 block. Between 7 p.m. Aug. 19 and 6:45 a.m. Aug. 20. A burglar opened the back gate of a home and took a black and purple bike from under a porch. Woodlawn Liberty Road. 7300 block. Between 9 a.m.-3:58 p.m. Aug. 24. A burglar stole two 32-inch flat-screen TVs after unlocking the front door with a key hidden outside a home. The key that the burglar found in back of the house  is still missing.

Liberty Road Business Association Sets Fest and Feast

The Music & Back-To-School Festival will be held from 5-9 p.m. Friday at the Kings Point Shopping Center, and a Crab Feast is set for Sept. 6 in the 9100 block of Kings Point.

The Liberty Road Business Association is celebrating the end of the summer season with two events: a festival and a feast. First is the Back-To-School Fest, set for 5-9 p.m. Aug. 24, according to association member Herman Reid. It will be held on a grassy area between Marriottsville Road and Deer Park. Festivities will include performances by local musicians and dancers, he said. Also, a Crab Feast will be held from 3-6 p.m., Sept. 16. That event will be held at Diamondz Banquet Hall, 9980 Liberty Road, also in Kings Point, Reid said. The association puts events together as part of its efforts to promote the businesses and community of Liberty Road, Reid said. Pikesville Crime: Bus Driver Beaten, Suspect in Dumpster

Two men were arrested Tuesday for beating a bus driver who had reprimanded them. Keyjuan Kenneth Branch, 19, and Johnathan Michael Watkins, 20, were charged with first-degree assault in the incident that occurred on an Maryland Transit Administration bus, according to a police report. Between 6:55-7 p.m. Tuesday, the 43-year-old male driver was operating the bus on Milford Mill Road and Liberty Road in Milford Mill, when he reportedly asked the men to stop ringing the buzzer. In response, when the bus was stopped, the two allegedly punched and kicked the driver in the head and face, and ran. According to the report, police found Branch hiding in a dumpster in the 8000 block of Woodgate Court. Police captured Watkins at Peach Bottom Lane …

With the parking lot resurfaced in recent weeks, the center looks better than it has in years.

There's a new look at Liberty Court shopping center in Randallstown. You know the area—it has Aldi's, Wendy's, Hibachi Grill & Supreme Buffet and the Randallstown Branch Library, and is located at the intersection of Liberty and Old Court roads. Pikesville Crime: Dollar Plus Mart Armed Robbery

Police recently responded to an armed robbery at the Dollar Plus Mart in Milford Mill. At 9 p.m. on July 23, a man came into the store at 8011 Liberty Rd., threatened employees and customers with a black handgun and demanded money, according to a police report. He stole $320—all the money in the register—before he ran toward Washington Avenue, the police report shows.

Pikesville Crime: Arson at 7-Eleven, Cigarettes Stolen

An arsonist set a pile of magazines on fire near a propane tank outside an Owings Mills 7-Eleven. At about 1:02 a.m. July 13, police were called to the store at 8890 McDonogh Rd., where the suspected arson had occurred. Siding on the building was damaged and gasoline was spilled around the area. Lochearn Westridge Road. 6600 block. Between 1 a.m. July 9 and 2 p.m. July 14. A burglar removed a master lock on a shed door and stole some equipment. Stolen were a trimmer, a leaf blower and a John Deere mower. It's not known how the burglar transported the items away from the home. Milford Mill Liberty Road. 8011. Between 3:30 and 3:40 a.m. July 14. A burglar destroyed the glass front door before stealing Newport cigarettes and lighters. …

Pikesville Crime: Burglars Steal Food, Drinks, Designer Purses

Pikesville Warren Park Drive. Unit block. Between 4 a.m. June 29 and 10:45 p.m. Sunday. A bedroom window screen was damaged and three Louis Vuitton purses, one wallet and a Wii gaming system were reported missing. Sugarloaf Court. Unit block. Between 10 p.m. and 11:40 p.m. Saturday. A rear apartment window was shattered with a concrete slab. The master bedroom and second-story bedroom had were, and items were reported missing. Those items include: a $700 Trek mountain bike; a $100 safe and papers inside; a $20 purple jewelry box and 32 pairs of earrings valued at $160. The burglar left through the sliding-glass door.
