Burglars climbed onto the roof of the Greenspring Shopping Center gas station last week, trying to get into the business. However, the two males were unsuccessful, according to a Baltimore County police report. At 1:30 a.m. Dec. 10, they used a wooden pallet to climb to high ground, and a wooden bench to get up to the roof, it states. They cut the phone lines and removed a white speaker system before trying to disable the deadbolt on the front door, according to the report. The suspects ran toward Sanzo Road. Man was filmed during a robbery in Catonsville this fall.
Baltimore County police have released a photo of a man they say is responsible for a Catonsville robbery. On Oct. 21 the man ran up to a woman at a Shell gas station in the 900 block of Ingleside Ave., and grabbed her wallet while she was getting into her vehicle, according to a news release. He ran eastbound on Calyn Road, it states. The suspect is in his 30s, is 5-foot-7 and 160 pounds. He has a medium build and is bald. The Shell station at Greenspring Shopping Center is open again.
New gasoline pumps are operating at the Shell Station on Smith Avenue in the Greenspring area. The station, which is the sole station in the neighborhood, is open again after about a month of renovations. It's located at 2859 Smith Ave., and also offers a service bay. The work bays are still open, however, at Shell at Greenspring Shopping Center, 2859 Smith Ave. in Pikesville.
Don't count on the Shell station at Greenspring Shopping Center for getting fueled up any time soon. It's pumps are gone for now, as part of renovations. However, it's work bays are still open, according to signs at the site.

Baltimore County police released a photo of a suspect in the crime, which occurred in September at the Shell station in the Greenspring Shopping Center.
Baltimore County police are looking for a man who they say is connected to an armed robbery at the Greenspring Shopping Center. The man in the police photograph entered the Shell gas station at about 9 p.m., Sept 27, pointed a handgun at the clerk and demanded money, according to a police statement. The gunman fled the store in the 2800 block of Smith Avenue in Pikesville with about $300 in cash. The police described the man as 6 feet tall, thin build, about 45 to 50 years old, with brown eyes, a medium complexion and short black hair. The Shell Dash-In gas station at 8200 Liberty Road was the site of an armed robbery Sunday afternoon. At about 4:47 p.m., three men wearing hoodies came into the Windsor Mill store. One had a black handgun and the others had bags for money. One suspect placed the gun against an employee's head and made her open the cash register. The men stole $882 and ran from the store toward Langrehr Road. According to Elise Armacost, spokeswoman for Baltimore County police, K9 and aviation units tried to locate the suspects. An investigation is still ongoing, she said.

And again, we found that, generally, the further south you drive on Reisterstown Road, away from I-695, the cheaper the gasoline tends to be. The Winners: The cheapest gas Wednesday afternoon was found just across the Baltimore City line at the BP station, located at 4101 Patterson Ave. at Reisterstown Road, where regular gasoline was $3.51 per gallon. The silver grade was $3.69 and ultimate was $3.75.
