Partake in Free Cake To Celebrate Giant's Birthday

Giant Foods stores are holding an event from 3-8 p.m. Wednesday at all its locations, including in Pikesville.

Giant Food is 77 years old, and there will be birthday parties Wednesday in all 170 Giant Food stores. All customers and community members are invited for free birthday cake from 3-8 p.m., according to a news release from Giant Food. The Giant in Pikesville is located at 3757 Old Court Rd.

Free Coats Days Set, Donations Still Accepted

Zips Cleaners, including the one in Pikesville, is accepting donations for the "Coats for Kids" giveaways during Thanksgiving week.

Firefighters will give free coats for kids and adults during Thanksgiving week, as part of WBAL Radio's annual campaign. On Nov. 21, coats will be given away at the Woodlawn Fire Station, 7223 Windsor Mill Rd., according to a news release from Baltimore County. And they'll be available Nov. 23 at the Dundalk Fire Station, 2815 Sollers Point Rd. Time to give Donations will be accepted through Nov. 10. Donors can drop off outerwear at Zips Dry Cleaners, including at 1220 Reisterstown Rd. in Pikesville, the release states. Visit the Baltimore County website for addresses and phone numbers of other Zips Cleaners accepting donations in Timonium, Towson, Baltimore, Columbia, Glen Burnie and Pasadena.

Free Coffee Friday at 7-Elevens

Chain convenience stores celebrate 'CofFREE Day,' offering a free, large cup of coffee, while McDonald's free coffee offer continues.

Get a free, large cup of coffee on Friday, Sept. 28 at 7-Eleven stores. The event, called CofFREE Day, lasts from 6 a.m. to 10 a.m. at 7-Eleven stores throughout the U.S., according to a news release from 7-Eleven. LAST CHANCE: Free Slurpees 'Til 7 at 7-Elevens

It's 7-Eleven Day, which means free Slurpees for customers through 7 p.m.

It's that time of year again. Today 7-Elevens are offering free Slurpees while supplies last. The deal is on through 7 p.m. today—7-11-2012—which is also known as 7-Eleven Day, according to the company website. For more information, visit the 7-Eleven Facebook page. Don't Miss: Free Slurpees on Wednesday at 7-Elevens

As a kickoff to summer, participating 7-Eleven stores are offering free Slurpees from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. until supplies last.

No area high schools have held graduation yet, and schools are still in. But by giving away free Slurpees on Wednesday, 7-Eleven is pronouncing that summer has already begun. Stores throughout the country, including in Pikesville, Owings Mills, Randallstown and Woodlawn, are giving away free Slurpees from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.—until supplies last. We called around and found seven stores that are participating, including the 7-Eleven at 7401 Windsor Mill Road in Woodlawn.
