The following information was supplied by the Baltimore County Police Department. In cases where a criminal charge is noted, the information provided does not indicate a conviction.
Employees at two Festival at Woodholme restaurants got into a scuffle Tuesday over a trashcan set out back, police say. At about 2:30 p.m., Baltimore County police were called to the Corner Bakery Cafe where an employee told police that someone at Al Pacino Cafe had wood stored in a Corner Bakery trashcan. Police told employees of both stores, located next door to each other in the Festival at Woodholme shopping center, that it's not a matter for police, but they should work together, or stay away from each other. At 3:21 p.m. the officer went back to Corner Bakery for another call. An employee said that an employee from the other restaurant had struck him. According to the report, a Corner Bakery employee "had a small laceration behind …

There's a lot of construction going on outside the site of the Corner Bakery Cafe, set to open in July. Could this foundation work mean a patio and outdoor seating?
They're pouring a foundation today outside the Corner Bakery Cafe site in the Festival at Woodholme Shopping Center. Maybe this means outdoor seating? However, it could also mean there's an expansion of the indoor dining area in the works. The Corner Bakery Cafe, offering breakfast, sandwiches, paninis, salads, Wifi and more, is set to open in July, according to an official in the restaurant chain's corporate headquarters. It could open as early as July 2, the official said Tuesday in an email to Pikesville Patch. The new restaurant replaces Chicken Out that closed last year. Are there any construction types reading this who know more? Check out this photo, and give your opinion on what's going on?

The sunshine highlights the beauty of landscaping at the Festival at Woodholme shopping center.
After a rainy week, it's nice to see rosebushes flourishing in the warmth of clear spring skies. These photos were taken at the Festival at Woodholme, in the parking lot across from Al Pacino Cafe and Lifebridge Health & Fitness. I'm sure these aren't the only beautiful flowers in the area. Show off your green thumb and your photography skills (hey, it's easy to make a flower look beautiful!) and upload photos of flowers or scenes in your yard, or from anywhere around town.

The new women's clothing store will reportedly feature a new concept: A larger dressing room, called a style closet, featuring outfits already put together, including accessories.
UPDATE 1:59 (p.m.)—Loft in the Festival at Woodholme is set to open at 10 a.m. Friday, a brand representative told Pikesville Patch. The women's clothing store will feature a concept of 'style closet.' That refers to a new type of dressing room—one that's a little larger, and includes mannequins wearing coordinated outfits and accessories. It's a way to get customers in the dressing room communicating about the fashions, and to get ideas, the representative said. Also, according to the representative, who wouldn't allow her name to be published: An opening event will be held from 1-5 p.m. Saturday. There will be a DJ and free skin consulting from one of the new Loft's neighbors, About Faces Day Salon and Spa. There will be raffles of Loft …

There's something unusual about each of the shop's wine selections this week.
One grape was lost but now is found, while another grows mainly in Spain. There's one that shines with seafood, and another that sparkles red. They're the main attractions in the "four weird wines" of The Wine Loft, and you can get a taste of their unusual natures from 1-6 p.m. Saturday during the shop's weekly wine tasting: The lost grape—Vistamar Carmenere. Once thought to be extinct after being grown in the Bordeaux region of France, this Carmenere grape was unexpectedly found again being grown in Chile, said Manager Carrie Blank, wine specialist. Interestingly, though, Chileans mistakenly thought they had been growing a Merlot grape. "Now, it's the signature grape of Chile," and is also grown in Argentina, Blank said. "It's ... really …

Trader Joe's shopping carts were jammed along the sidewalk Tuesday at the Festival at Woodholme shopping center.
One-by-one, shoppers on Tuesday afternoon shamelessly carted their groceries from Trader Joe's to the curb, abandoning the carts right in the walkways. Sure, it's convenient and understandable that shoppers who are elderly or who have disabilities leave the carts there. But otherwise, should the walkways become a course of red, wheeled obstacles? It wasn't only Tuesday. This is a regular sight at the popular shopping center. Who do you believe is responsible for taking carts back? Each shopper? The store? When you shop there, do you take your cart back after you're finished? Is it part of your shopping routine? Or are you one of the customers who takes the time to collect others' carts and push them back as well? Tell us in the comments.
