PHS College and Career Fair Is Thursday

Visit Pikesville High School from 5-6:30 p.m. to meet representatives from about 24 colleges and universities, and to hear two higher education workshops.

Get information on colleges, the admissions process and finding the right school, during the Pikesville High School College and Career Fair. The event will be held from 5-6:30 p.m. Thursday at the school, 7621 Labyrinth Rd., according to the school's Edline website. Some activities will continue until 7 p.m. Representatives from 24 colleges or career fields are set to attend, including Penn State, Virginia Commonwealth University, Stevenson and Towson universities. Staff from the United States Air Force and The Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising, and other schools and groups, will offer information on careers. Pimlico Fair Continues through July 4

Entertainment, fireworks and more than 100 rides and games are on tap Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays—and Monday, July 4—at Pimlico Race Course in Baltimore.

Have you heard of the Wild West shows of yesteryear? Good news. You can catch one nearby at Pimlico Race Course—no time-travel required. The Great American Frontier Show is one of many free events on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays through July 4, at the Pimlico Fair. The frontier show "features an award-winning horseback rider performing death-defying feats on a galloping horse," a news release states. Additionally, "an Arabian stallion will walk 60 feet across an arena on his hind legs," and the show will feature a giant horse, along with what the news release bills as the biggest and strongest ox in the world.
