Cardin's New Head of School Makes Changes

The school has restructured its leadership team and will use new academic and leadership programs.

The Shoshana S. Cardin School has announced several changes to its leadership team. So far, David Prashker, the new head of school who arrived a few weeks ago, has restructured Cardin's leadership team and has put new academic and leadership programs in place. Jewish life will fall under the watch of school Rabbi Yaakov Chaitovsky. Jewish studies and general studies previously worked independent of each other with separate deans, but they’ll now come together under the guidance of principal Leslie Smith Rosen. “No one knows the school better than Morah Rosen,” Prashker said in a statement. “We are absolutely thrilled that she has agreed to take on this new challenge. “Baltimore is blessed with a number of Jewish community high schools, but…

Shoshana S. Cardin Names New Head of School

David Prashker of Miami will lead the school for the 2012-13 school year.

  David Prashker has been named the new head of school for The Shoshana S. Cardin School, the school announced Thursday. Prashker, who is currently the director of education for Temple Sinai of North Dade/Jacobson Sinai Academy in Miami, will take on the new role for the 2012-13 school year, a news release states. "We are confident that Mr. Prashker’s unique perspective on Jewish education and leadership experience will help us to continue to grow and thrive,” Howard Rosenbloom, president of The Cardin School board of directors, said in a statement.
