The popular restaurant is open again after being closed since Memorial Day.
It was during business hours on Memorial Day when a sprinkler pipe burst at Quarry Bagel & Cafe, causing the eatery to close for weeks. Where can you still get something for free? Right here in Pikesville.
Have lunch at Quarry Bagel & Cafe and you'll be treated to a free slice of cake. On Thursday, staff brought a tray with two choices: vanilla cake with chocolate chunks, and chocolate cake with white icing. It's offered daily, until the cafe closes at 3 p.m. A rave is in order. The Panini Caprese—a tasty, hot sandwich filled with sliced tomato, fresh basil, thin slices of mozzarella and balsamic vinaigrette for $7.95—was simply delicious. And the cake was fresh and moist. Hours are 6:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday, and 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. For more information and a menu, visit the cafe website.
