Pikesville Crime: Copper, TV, Jewelry, More Reported Stolen

Gwynn Oak Alter Street. 6800 block. Between Oct. 19 and noon, Nov. 2. Copper piping was missing at a foreclosed home owned by Bank of America. Drywall was destroyed and a rear window had been forced open. Pikesville Keyser Road. 3200 block. Between noon and 4:40 p.m., Nov. 1. A TV and gold ring were missing from a home. Warren Road. Unit block. Between 5 p.m. Oct. 14 and 5 p.m., Oct. 21, according to a Nov. 1 report. An air conditioning unit was missing from the side of the building.

Pikesville Crime: Security System, Cell Phones, Cigarettes, Cash Missing

Gwynn Oak Croydon Road, 3700 block, between midnight, Oct. 12 and 1:40 p.m., Sunday. A resident told police that a windowpane was destroyed, and a skylight and air conditioner screen were damaged. There was no entry into the home and no property was missing, according to a police report. Lochearn Liberty Road, 6900 block, about 7:02 p.m., Friday. Police were called to Pimlico Motors where they found a man hiding behind some cars. They gave chase but failed to catch him. Police discovered that entry to the business had been gained through a side door, a security system had been taken and power to the building was cut. Police: Watch Out for Burglars, Call 911

Lt. Jay Landsman of the Baltimore County Police Department offers tips to keep residents from being victims of burglaries.

When a burglar breaks into a residence in Pikesville, you probably won’t hear the dramatic sound of breaking glass or any noise for that matter. That’s because noise can attract attention that burglars don’t want, said Lt. Jay Landsman of the Baltimore County Police Department. But you might see someone unfamiliar in the neighborhood, and that’s exactly what you should immediately report to police, he said. "Call 911," Landsman said. "Don't call the station, call 911 and we will get out there. The more information you can give us, the longer you can safely stay on the phone with the operator, (and) observe activity, the better off we are. Two Homes on Same Street Suffer Break-ins

Police reports indicate that doors to two homes were forced open along Western Winds Circle in Windsor Mill.

Two homes on Western Winds Circle were targets of break-ins over the weekend. A Windsor Mill woman reported that someone had forced open the front door of her residence in the unit block of Western Winds Circle, according to a Baltimore County police report. Sometime between 8:30 p.m., Saturday and 12:45 a.m., Sunday, the front door had been forced open but nothing had been taken, according to the report from the Pikesville precinct. On Sunday night between 11:40 p.m. and 11:46 p.m., another resident of Western Winds Circle was awakened by several loud booms coming from downstairs in her home, also in unit block of Western Winds Circle, according to a police report The resident ran downstairs and saw that the front door had been forced …

CRIME LOG: Woman Reports $5K of Comic Books Stolen From Work

A Pikesville resident reported that a burglar took $5,000 worth of comic books from her storage area at work, in the 3500 block of Carriage Hill Circle in Randallstown. The books belonged to her husband, and were by Marvel, Dell and DC Comics. She said she believes someone with access stole them sometime from May to June 1, according to a report written June 4 by Pikesville police. Bonnie Ridge 6400 block Bonnie Ridge Drive. Between 10:30 a.m. and 9:45 p.m. June 3. A burglar came into an apartment through a rear sliding-glass door, ransacked the apartment and stole a digital camera, two pairs of Gucci shoes, a wallet, watches, two safes and a Social Security card. CRIME: Hammer-Wielding Home Invaders, Shoes Thief Mark Week in Crime

Baltimore County police from Pikesville's Precinct 4 report more burglaries, bicycle thefts and robberies.

A resident of the 800 block of Hopewood Road in Pikesville told police that a burglar stole everything from electronics to shoes—amounting to thousands of dollars in losses. At 5:17 p.m. May 20, the resident left his home at 3 p.m. to go to a doctor appointment, and returned later to find his home burglarized, according to the report filed in Pikesville's Precinct 4. The burglars broke the glass to the sliding-glass door at the rear of his home and stole a video camera, two digital cameras, a laptop computer, video game systems, games and controllers, a safe—and Pradas.
