December 25. It's a day of gift-giving and celebration for Christians, and also a day of giving—through volunteering—for the Jewish community.
For example, there's an extravaganza at the Weinberg Park Heights Jewish Community Center, where hundreds of volunteers will put together winter care packages for people in need.
But there are dozens of other events, too. The events schedule is coordinated through the Jewish Volunteer Connection.
There's knitting to do, seniors to socialize with, or meals to make and serve.
Young families can head out to in Pikesville for a "Playdate Together," a multi-generational event, according to the JVC website.
and in Pikesville have their own events set up, as well.
