FIDF Summer Ball Sat July 20th at Woodholme Country Club

On July 20th the FIDF Mid Atlantic Chapter of the Friends of the IDF (Baltimore) will be having their annual fundraising event organized by their Young Leadership Council.

The event is being held at the Woodholme Country Club in Pikesville at 9:30 Saturday night. Tickets are only $40 and it includes, food, drinks, music and dancing with a "masquerade ball" theme.

The Honoree for the evening is Alex Simone. He is currently serving in the Israeli Army as a Paratrooper in Tzanchanim Unit 202. He is a graduate of the University of Maryland  and Beth Tfiloh Dahan High School in Pikesville. He is a member of Moses Montefiore Anshe Emunah congregation.

Before making Aliyah and joining the IDF Alex worked at the Community Law in Action Center and at the JNF.

I am also proud to say he is my son. While he has sacrificed much to serve in the Israeli Army, the FIDF supports young soldiers in Israel in many ways. As parents of a Lone Soldier, we are grateful for their support and ask all to support the event by buying a ticket or making a donation.

The FIDF has built recreational facilities for soldiers throughout Israel, providing meals, toiletries and other items to enhance the quality of life for young people serving in the army. You can learn more about the FIDF and our local chapter FIDF Baltimore here.

Donations can be made online and should reference Alex Simone and the FIDF YL. You can also connect with them on Facebook or make a secure online Donation right here!

Special thanks to the FIDF, the soldiers who serve and our local FIDF Chapter for all they do for Israel. I look forward to seeing everyone at the Annual Summer Ball this Saturday night.

Last year over 300 people attended. Let's make this year a special event for all to enjoy!
