Towson Town Center Taking Women’s Health to Heart on Friday!

Towson Town Center will host the 10th Annual "National Wear Red Day" in conjunction with Go Red for Women, to empower women to take charge of their heart health.

If they had to guess, most American women would never predict the greatest health threat we face is heart disease. Many women regard heart attacks and heart-related illnesses as “old man’s diseases.” But according to the American Heart Association, these killers claim 2 out of every 3 women in the country, taking a life every minute in the U.S.

On February 1, in partnership with The American Heart Association, Towson Town Center will host the 10th Annual “National Wear Red Day” in conjunction with Go Red for Women, to empower women to take charge of their heart health.

In the Grand Court Level 1 starting at 5pm guests can visit retailer tables to learn more about staying healthy and view red merchandise fit for the Wear Red Day occasion. ShopRite of Timonium Registered Dietitian, Erin Peisach, will be on hand to discuss diet modifications and offer tips on how to reduce risk factors.

Then from 6-8 pm, local Zumba instructors will host a Zumba-thon to promote exercise to save lives. Shoppers are encouraged to wear red during this event to show their support and the first 100 shoppers dressed in red who participate in the Zumba-thon, will receive a $10 Shop, Etc. mall gift card and gift bag from Go Red for Women.
