Birthday Celebration for Northwest Neighbors Connecting
Join Northwest Neighbors Connecting as it celebrates its one year anniversary with a community birthday bash on Sunday, March 23, 1:00 – 4:00 p.m. Held at the Pikesville Senior Center, 1301 Reisterstown Road., the bash will feature a host of activities including dancing and a musical performance by Kol Rinah, Chizuk Amuno’s a Cappella choir. In addition, Bea Bea Payne, an about-to-be 105-year-old woman who still drives and exercises daily, will share tips on aging well.
NNC, an initiative of CHAI: Comprehensive Housing Assistance, Inc., an agency of The Associated: Jewish Community Federation of Baltimore, is a membership-based program in Northwest Baltimore that is organizing seniors to provide each other with social activities, grocery shopping, errands, transportation, trips, educational opportunities, computer help and an overall connection to the community. NNC enables seniors to live in their own homes for as long as possible.
NNC’s birthday bash also will feature a birthday cake donated by Sion’s Bakery, a mini-Zumba class, a volunteer recognition ceremony and a raffle for free gifts donated by local merchants, including movie tickets to the Pikes Theater and gift certificates to Fresh Market and Gourmet Again.
