Power Slowly Returns to Pikesville

Parts of the area still remain without power but others are getting it back.

The power is slowly coming back to some parts of Pikesville.

There's signs that various places that had been without power for much of this week since the storm last Friday are getting it back.

For example, the Festival at Woodholme shopping center appeared to be up and running once more. Parts of that place had been without power through the weekend and into the early part of this week.

That caused many businesses to stay closed. It also delayed the full opening of the Corner Bakery Cafe, which took over the spot -- on the corner, of course -- formerly used by Chicken Out.

However, there's still problems with power near that area, which is just by Beltway Exit 20.

The traffic lights right by Exit 21, where Chizuk Amuno is located, have been out all week. But on Thursday night, they were flashing wtih yellow lights, where they'd been dark all week.

Chizuk Amuno said on its web site that it remained closed.

BGE spokesman Rob Gould said on some radio interviews Thursday that they understood everyone's frustration and were expecting everything to be fixed within two or three more days.
