Milford Mill Girls Take Second in State Meet
Moses helps Millers track team to the runner-up spot in Class 3A.
The Milford Mill Academy girls took second in the state in the Class 3A title meet Tuesday night at the Prince George's Sports and Learning Complex.
Baltimore County rival Hereford won the title with 65 points. Milford Mill took the runner-up spot with 54, led by a strong effort from Racquel Moses.
Moses won the 300-meter dash (40.31) and took second in the 55 hurdles. She also ran on the winning 800 relay team (1:44.01) plus the 1,600 relay group which finished second.

Mykael Dixon, who used to run for Pikesville, also played a big role. Dixon took second in the 55 and fifth in the 300. She also ran on both of the relay teams with Moses.
Medinah Spencer and Toni Brown both ran on the two relay teams that gave the Millers 18 of its 54 points. In addition, Spencer finished fifth in the 55 hurdles.

Destiny Moore also helped with a fifth-place effort in the 55.
