Local Players Make U.S. Lacrosse All-Academic Team

More than 1,800 girls earn honor nationwide.

Six lacrosse players from local schools made the 2011 US Lacrosse Girls All-Academic team, according to an announcement by US Lacrosse.

Among the 1,800 players selected from throughout the country are: Skylar Fidel of Pikesville High School; Brooks Lawler of McDonogh; Autumn Cohen and Gabi Schwartz of The Park School; Naa Adei Mante and Erin Levitas, both of St. Timothy's.

These selected team members have "exemplary lacrosse skills and excellent sportsmanship on the field, while also representing high standards of academic achievement in the classroom," according to the announcement.

The team members have also made "significant contributions of service to the school or community," the announcement states.
