Lochearn Pool Open House

LOCHEARN COMMUNITY CLUB (LOCHEARN POOL) HOLDS TWO OPEN HOUSE EVENTS

LOCHEARN, MD, APRIL 29, 2011:  Lochearn Community Club will hold two Open Houses this year - Sunday May 22, 2011 from 1 to 6 PM, and on Saturday, May 28, 2011 from 1 to 6 PM. Potential members are invited to come and tour the facility and see what membership in the Lochearn Community Club has to offer. Opening for its 54th season on Saturday, May 28, 2011 at noon, Lochearn Community Club is a private membership swim club. Located on over five acres at 3600 Campfield Road in Lochearn, Baltimore County, it is owned and operated by its members. First opened in 1957, the pool has served as the summer place for generations of area residents. Various areas are represented in the membership, as the facility is conveniently located to most in the greater Baltimore and Baltimore County region. A limited number of new memberships are available at attractive rates and there is currently no wait list.

With plenty of sunny areas to work on your tan and shady areas to relax, the facility offers a 25 yard competition pool and dual diving wells. Members can enjoy swimming laps or just floating around the pool. Picnic tables are spread through the grounds for members to use. Tables and chairs on a pool side patio host pool member’s families and conversations abound during relaxing summer evenings.  Grills are available to prepare member’s dinners and there is a Snack Bar serving delicious treats during selected hours. The toddler set can play in the baby pool and toddler playground while the tweens and teens play on the basketball and volleyball courts.

Several special events, such as Toast Lochearn, Caribbean Night and Pit Beef Night highlight the pool summer social scene. There are Family Fun Nights and Teen Nights also scheduled for the members entertainment.

 

Once again, the Lochearn Monster Swim and Dive teams will be competing with other local teams over the summer competition season. Team spirit abounds throughout the pool community as the teams are rooted on to give their very best. Go Monster!

 

With the current economic conditions, many families are forgoing a traditional vacation as being beyond their budget. For less than the price of a weekend in Ocean City, a family can vacation a few hours each day throughout the summer, and can make lifelong friendships and create priceless and precious memories.
