Bloomin' 5k Run & Walk

  • The ROMG Chamber of Commerce is planning thefourth annual Bloomin’ 5k Run for Saturday, May 7, 2011 (Mother’s Day weekend). The 2010 Bloomin’ 5k was very successful. We registered over 400 runners, served breakfast (including Jerry’s “hot off the griddle” pancakes) to over 425 in attendance. We believe the 2011 Bloomin’ 5k Run will include 500+ runners & walkers.

Proceeds from the 2011 Bloomin’ 5k Run will benefit Infusion Services at the LifeBridge Health Alvin & Lois Lapidus Cancer Institutelocated at Northwest and Sinai Hospitals and will also help support the Chamber. The Infusion Centers are state-of-the-art facilities that provide chemotherapy, immunotherapy and other infusion services on an outpatient basis. Teams of specially trained physicians, oncology nurses and other staff members provide compassionate care to patients in a comfortable and safe environment. At both Sinai and Northwest Hospital, patients and their families find something rare: an institution large enough to offer leading-edge care, yet small enough to touch their individual lives.
