Bohemia Manor Ends Pikesville Season

A Cecil County school routs Pikesville 9-0 in Class 1A North baseball playoffs.

After a big victory over Sparrows Point Friday in a first-round playoff game, things didn’t go quite as well for the Pikesville baseball team Monday.

Bohemia Manor rolled to a 9-0 victory over Pikesville in a Class 1A North Region second round playoff game in Cecil County. That ended the Panthers’ season, and they finished with an 8-11 record.   

The Panthers just couldn’t do much on offense, getting just one hit in the seven-inning game as Bohemia Manor cruised to victory.

“Some days you just have to tip your hat to the other team and say, ‘You were better than us today,” said Pikesville coach Joseph Kramer. “I would like to thank our kids for a great season.”

Tete Obot got the only hit for Pikesville, a fifth-inning double. But the Panthers couldn’t do anything else.

Tyler Kennedy started for Pikesville and gave up eight earned runs in five innings. Doug Lavin, the winner of Friday’s game, allowed one run in his one inning.
