A Nice Thing to Do: Bowl With Big Brothers Big Sisters

Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Maryland has a fundraiser Friday and Saturday at . And this is your chance to get involved.

"While Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Maryland has, to date, matched more than 2,000 children with mentors, the need is still growing," said spokesman Luke Gibson. "In the Baltimore area alone, there are over 850 boys on the waiting list."

By participating in the Bowl for Kids' Sake fundraiser, you can help Big Brothers Big Sisters, and the Maryland Mentoring Program, raise money to match children with carefully screened, caring volunteers, he said.

The fun begins Friday with the first of six themed parties through Saturday.

The first party, Happy Hour Bowl, is from 4-6 p.m. Friday.

You can still come out tonight and bowl for $100 per person. Teams of four to six people are welcome, too.
