Yeshivat Rambam Schools to Close in June

"The Baltimore Sun": Modern Orthodox Jewish school announces May 9 that campus will be sold.

Yeshivat Rambam, a modern Orthodox Jewish day school in Baltimore is going out of business, and selling its campus, according to an article in The Baltimore Sun.

Administrators of the 20-year-old school informed parents and students the night of May 9 that the school will close in June. The campus will be sold at the end of the current academic year, the article states.

In January, the school announced that its high schools for boys and girls would close, "in order to enable the school to continue with its mission in an economically sustainable manner," according to the school's website. The school is helping students transition to other Baltimore schools.

"Now school officials say all of the other classes from kindergarten on up will also shut down," according to The Sun.

There are about 350 students in K through 12 at the school, located in Park Heights at 6300 Park Heights Avenue.
