Some Northwest Area Schools Remain Without Power

Overall, 18 Baltimore County schools still don't have power after last weekend's storm.

The Northwest area has many of the 18 Baltimore County Public Schools that remained without power Tuesday night.

A press release stated that Campfield Early Learning Center, Sudbrook Magnet Middle, Fort Garrison Elementary, Milbrook Elementary, Powhatan Elementary, Winfield Elementary, Woodholme Elementary and Pikesville High were among the schools the county was still working at fixing.

"The staff in our department of physical facilities is doing an outstanding jbo in working with BGE to get power restored and to clean up our school grounds," said new Superintendent S. Dallas Dance.

The schools and offices were scheduled to be closed anyway for today's holiday.

In addition, the county said that they'll make judgements to see if the lack of power will affect schools for rest of this week and summer school classes, set to start next Monday.
