Snow, Ice Causes Public Schools Closings, Private Schools Delays

Baltimore County Schools and Baltimore City Schools are closed today; Shoshana S. Cardin opens at 9:55 a.m.

Pikesville got about 2 inches of snow since yesterday evening and overnight. Because of the weather, Baltimore County Public Schools are closed today.

Be careful driving. The National Weather Service issued a Winter Storm Warning until noon.

Baltimore City Schools Closed.

At 6:15 a.m. today, the temperature is 35 degrees, and will rise to a high of 38 degrees today, according to Accuweather.com's Pikesville forecast.

Early this morning an icy mix of precipitation is expected, and it will be "overcast with a little rain" tonight, the website states.

The Winter Storm Warning that is in effect through noon states that the snow, sleet or ice "will make travel very hazardous or impossible."
