The Panthers are getting a lot of help on offense and defense. Brittney Dubit and Maleyja Watson have gotten some key hits while lead-off hitter Krystal Baxter repeatedly set the table by getting on base several times.

In the Patapsco victory last Friday, Dubit and Jessica Rubin both drove in three runs. Pitcher Dani Lee got the win, and Baxter played a solid game in center—ending the game with a crucial diving catch.

Lee also went the distance to get the win against New Town, going all seven innings. Becker said that catcher Michelle Silver’s been strong behind the plate, something every team needs. Shortstop Emily Starobin and Rubin (at first base) have combined to make some good plays in the field.

In fact, that’s one of the things that Becker’s liked so far—the fact that so many of her players have helped so much. It’s a big reason the Panthers already have posted three wins.

"It’s a team effort through and through," Becker said.
