Pikesville Area Residents Earn Higher Education Honors

Saint Francis University

Christopher Mills, a resident of Pikesville, earned his bachelor's degree in finance recently at Saint Francis University in Loretto, PA.

He was also among more than 600 students who made the Spring 2012 Dean's List, and among the 540 who earned degrees this year, according to readMedia.

To make the Dean's List, students must have full-time status and attain a quality-point average of at least 3.5 for the given semester, a news release from readMedia states.

James Madison University

Lauren Saval of Baltimore graduated with a bachelor's degree in social work from James Madison University.

Saval was among 3,567 undergraduates and 558 graduate students to participate in the ceremony this spring.

James Madison University is part of the statewide system of public higher education in the Commonwealth of Virginia and offers programs on the bachelor's, master's and doctoral levels.

McDaniel College

Kevin J. Anderson of Pikesville has been named to Dean's List—with high honors—at McDaniel College in Westminster.

High honors is awarded for students who have a semester grade-point average of 3.7-3.89, according to a news release from readMedia.

McDaniel is a four-year, private college of liberal arts and sciences. There are about ,600 undgergraduates and 1,560 part-time graduate students.
