Park to Meet Owings Mills in Mock Trial Competition

The Park School of Baltimore, on its way to defending its state title from last year, vies against Owings Mills High School at 7 p.m. Thursday.

This is the second time that and Owings Mills will face off in the Third Judicial Circuit Court Finals of the Maryland High School Mock Trial Competition.

The teams compete Friday as finalists from among 24 public and private schools from Baltimore and Harford counties, according to a news release from Baltimore County Public Schools.

Judges determine how well the teams present their legal arguments.

The competition is at 7 p.m. Thursday at The Historic Courthouse, Ceremonial Courtroom No. 5, 400 Washington Ave., Towson.

The winning team will move on to statewide competition.

This is the fourth straight year has made it to the finals, according to the release.

Park School took the regional title and was the last year, led by co-captains Eli Block and Daniel Stern.
