Officals To Cut Ribbon on Renovated Milford Mill Monday

The ceremony signifies the completion of a 3-year construction project at the Baltimore County school.

A ceremony will be held to signify the completion of a three-year-long renovation project at Milford Mill Academy.

The event, which begins at 10 a.m. Mar. 18, will include tours of the renovated building and student performances, according to a news release from the Baltimore County Public Schools system.

Principal Roderick W. Harden Sr. and schools superintendent S. Dallas Dance will lead the ceremony, set for 3800 Washington Ave.

The project resulted in a new 4,800-square-foot addition that includes a new gymnasium and renovations to the school’s cosmetology, carpentry and other technology labs, media center, auditorium, black box theater and general purpose classrooms, the release states.

New heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems were added to the school, which was built in 1948, the release states. New classrooms and storage areas will improve the school’s capacity and comfort, and extend its life.
