LAST CHANCE: Hear from a School Resource Officer

In light of recent school violence and other issues, a school resource officer will speak to the Pikesville Police & Community Relations Council at 7 p.m. tonight at Baltimore Hebrew Congregation.

What is a school resource officer, what do they do, and what do they plan to do in light of school violence and other issues?

An officer from the Baltimore County Police Department will update residents during the Pikesville Police & Community Relations Council meeting Tuesday.

It's set for 7 p.m. at Baltimore Hebrew Congregation.

The monthly council meetings are a time to hear what's going on in the community, to meet with Baltimore County police, to voice concerns, and get solutions to resolve some community issues.

The council welcomes all residents of Precinct 4/ Pikesville to the meetings held at 7 p.m. the fourth Tuesday of each month.

The meeting Tuesday, Oct. 2, is actually the September meeting that was rescheduled due to the Jewish High Holy Days.

Snacks are offered at each meeting, and there is a guest speaker as well, said Jerry D'Antoni, PCRC president.
