Krieger Schechter Launches 5K Race June 10
A family festival includes breakfast, a moonbounce, dance party and an obstacle course.
Krieger Schechter Day School is holding a new event: a 5K race, set for June 10.
The school plans to hold "Schechter on the Move" each year.
The event begins at 7 a.m. and includes the race, as well as a one-mile fun run and a Family Fun Festival for people of all ages, according to a news release from the school.

The festival begins after the fun run and includes food, a DJ dance party, tattoos, an obstacle course, a moonbounce, face painting and a dunk tank, the release states.

- Overall male and female winners
- Overall male and female masters for the 5K race
- Top three finishing runners in the 5K race for each age group
Registration begins at 7 a.m. while the 5K race starts at 8 a.m. and the one-mile fun run at 8:10 a.m.
Registration is $25 per adult and $18 per child (ages 2-17), or $50 per family.
All of the money raised during the event will benefit the KSDS Scholarships Fund.
